Simply Saturday - Christmas Post

It's that time of year - didn't you know !  Christmas posting.

You all know how expensive it can get these days to post cards, either internationally or locally.

So, I made some really flat cards for posting, adding a little sparkle with a Sakura Gel Pen.

The first two cards are from the Polkadoodles Baked with Love collection.

These last two are from the wonderful Winnie Winterland collection.

I made several of these - really quickly with my Silhouette Cameo - just printing, cutting, inking and sticking :-)

A short post for today.  Hope you are all getting organised for the up coming festivities.

Shannon is due home from college, this coming Friday, for the Christmas holidays.  Only 6  more sleeps :-)

Thanks for stopping by today.

Happy crafting.

Fabulous Friday - Blue Christmas

Happy Friday everyone.

And here we are in December!  Shannon will be home two weeks today for the Christmas holidays - yay :-)

Polkadoodles challenges are now always Anything Goes - so why not go along and enter.

I have used the wonderful Festive Christmas collection for my quick card today.

Using one of the pre-made frames and then adding some dimension to the layers.

For the inside a merged the layers to keep it flat and added a sentiment.

I also used some gold glitter pen on the doves and the heart - it's difficult to see but looks lovely in person.

I love this colour blue.  What colours do you prefer at Christmas?

My creation is today is a 5" by 5" wall plaque, using one of those blank wooden pieces you can get in most craft shops.

My backing paper is from the delightful Festive Christmas collection.

Everything else is from the wonderful Winnie Winterland collection.

I have inked all the edges of all the layers. Then adding some layers with foam tape and finished off with a little bit of glitter pen :-)  And red glitter on the noses of the reindeer :-)

Fabulous Friday - A bit of a Weave

Happy Friday everyone.  Are you having a great week?

The clocks go back an hour, this weekend, here in Canada. Are you ready for the darker mornings and shorter daylight days?

Editing the above sentence for my husband - who is so bored at work that he is nosing at my blog LOL!

"The clocks go back an hour, this weekend, here in Canada. Are you ready for the lighter mornings and darker early evenings.  You also get an hour's extra sleep - if hubby minds his own business he might too LOL!"  luv you xx

I'm not to keen on these Winter days, but hey that's what my craft room is for - to cheer me up :-)

Anyways, we have the start of new challenge over at Polkadoodles.  All our challenges are now Anything Goes, so what's stopping you - you craft - you enter :-)

Our DT brief this fortnight was to weave some paper for our creations.  I have used one of the new collections - Winnie Winterland for this card today.  I started off by weaving my papers.

Then I used the stocking from the collection, to make a window in my top layer of the card (using Silhouette Design Studio).  Then all I had to do was place the weaved piece underneath :-)

I cut out another stocking a little bit larger than the window, so that I could use the top of the stocking for my card.  I then used the Flowers 2 Die and the Super Sprigs Die to add a flower to the top of my stocking.

For the inside I used one of the tags and made it a little wider, that's why I love working with digital collections, you can change to suit your needs :-)

I used another tag and bow for the front, adding a little foam tape to add some dimension to the bow and a little bit of glitter.

I love how this turned out and loved the paper weave.

I hope you all have a fabulous weekend.

I am entering this card in the following challenges.

Penny's Paper- Crafty Challenge blog - Challenge #302: Anything Goes (closes 8 Nov)

Crafting by Designs - November Challenge: Anything Goes (closes 25 Nov)

Fabulous Friday - version 2 - Halloween :-)

WOW !  Christmas and Halloween in one day LOL!

Took a challenge today - the boss lady Nikky at Polkadoodles, only just gave us this Halloween digi and I wanted to see how quick I could make a card :-)

So I saw it in our group about an hour ago!  So here you go :-)

Get it HERE!  Winnie Trick or Treat - includes the Black and White digi and the pre-coloured digi!

I used papers from the wonderful Witchie Witchie Bundle.

For the inside using the same papers as the front and a lovely message panel.

I layered up the pre-coloured image and added some bats.  I also couldn't resist cutting the Elegant Lamplight and Gate die in black cardstock, and bending it a little to look damaged :-)

Love adding some dimension to this cute image - love that cat on her head LOL!

Happy Halloween!

Thanks for stopping by today.

Happy crafting !
