A little Winter Woodland

I have come to the end of my "A little..." series.  This is the last card in my self-imposed challenge of using one cartridge.

The following card, could be used for male or female I think, was made using the Winter Woodland cartridge, you may associate this cartridge as being a Christmas go to, but I felt there were definitely other ways to use it.  It's not just a Christmas card cartridge at all, in fact there are a few things on this cartridge that could be used for new home, birthdays, even wedding cards.

I also used the 12" by 24" mat for this one, so I was able to cut the whole card.

I used the Card on page 60 to make the base (5" by 5" card), however I wanted it to be a little longer below the circle with the bird. So I took the card shadow (page 60), sized it to 10" by 2" and welded it to the card and therefore the final size of my card is 7" by 5".

I made an insert for the card measuring 9.75" by 4.75", so that the circle had a backing but it made the card look neat inside too.

The branch (page 39) cut at 2".

The bird (page 60) was cut at 2.5".

The sentiment was cut at 1" using the font feature.

I also made a layer for under the sentiment which was cut at 4.5" by 2.25" and 4.25" by 2.

After yesterdays fiasco with really not knowing where I was going with the Sophisticated card, I am really pleased how this turned out.

This card is being entered into the following challenges

Cricut Creative Cutter  Photo Inspiration theme.

Lexi's Creations Challenge 67 - Happy Birthday Theme

Tuesday Alchemy - Anything Goes challenge

Thanks for stopping by and happy crafting.

  9. Wow! Look at all the paper on that mat. I tried my 12 X 24 mat once and stuck it in the closet. It seemed a bit awkward. I really like your card, especially the full moon in the background.

I've been renting apartments all of my life, so we aren't allowed to paint walls and never had a use for it. lol Thanks for playing with us at Tuesday Alchemy and I am following you right back! ;)
