Colouring, Colouring, LOVE!

Yay!!!!!  I finally got in and played with my Spectrum Noir pens.  Am so loving these pens.

I have the first 72 (12 packs of 6), however I think I will also be getting the other 4x24 sets too over time.  Just to add that more choice of colours, but will of course see how I get on with these first.

The image I chose is from Angelique at Sliekje's Digi Stamps.  All her digis are free and they are fabulous.

This was chosen because I wanted to try a few different blends and colours to see how they would come out.

I have to apologise I overworked the clouds, but it doesn't look too bad.  The clouds and the bottom of the grass were done with sponges and ink.

I didn't keep a record of the pens I used, but after I get used to them I will start making a note :-)

The sentiment is a freebie from When the Scrap Hits the Fun.

I like how the mice turned out and how the blending on the orange and yellow.  I need more practice on the blue and purple.

And the inside of my card, ready for a sentiment or something.

So there you have it, be gentle with me:-)  I'm pleased how this turned out, but I have a long way to go yet.

A quote from my 11 year daughter Emily, "Mum aren't you too old for colouring!"

This card is being entered in the following challenges.

Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenge #74: Anything Goes (closes 1 Nov)

Stamp n doodle - Challenge Oct 17:  Lauren Curtis Spotlight: Anything Goes (closes 23 Oct)

Thanks for stopping by today.

Happy crafting.

  4. How cute! I, too, suffer from confidence in my coloring. Just keep it up and remember that what you see includes what you imagined to do (and maybe didn't quite achieve). What we see and expect is only the final product so we don't see overworked clouds, just cute fluffy clouds in a bright blue sky.

LOL at your daughters comment. When my friends daughter made a comment about her mom wanting me to teach her to colour...I told her we take colouring to a whole new level, lol.

    1. Hi Karen, thanks so much. As these are the first ever alcohol markers I have used, I am not biased towards Copic, so I have to say that I am loving them. I find them really easy to blend with and just need to learn where the best place is to place shadows and the darker colours. I eventually will get the other sets of 24's (money allowing) but for now am really happy with the set of 72:-)
