For some inspiration, here is a very simple card for you for Thanksgiving.
The backing papers are from Tim Holtz Seasonal Stack. Even the sentiment tab is from one of the sheets with lots of different images on them. By the way my photo isn't grainy, its the design of the paper to look distressed:-)
I used the Cricut cartridge A Child's Year for the pumpkins (page 52 Shift,Icon) I used hide contour to remove all the inner lines and face, but added pencil lines to give them shape. They were cut out twice on two different rust coloured papers, I also flipped one of the images so the stem was facing the other way. They were cut at 2", 1.5" and 1" and popped up the front two for dimension.
Also used some Tim Holtz Tea dye distress ink for the pumpkins and edges of the layers. A little bit of ribbon to finish off.
I have also started to do the inside of my cards and I found that I didn't have any Thanksgiving stamps. So I took the negative of the pumpkins cut and used it as a stencil with some of the tea dye ink. (Looking at this now, I could have embossed the pumpkins and maybe used some white gel pen on them - but I wasn't feeling well when I made this and my brain was a bit frazzled LOL)
We have had our Thanksgiving here in Canada, but I have a lot of American blog friends and figured this was appropriate as your Thanksgiving is still to come.
