Back to Basics #2 cont.....

Hi all, here I am back again with another 2 cards for a set of 6.  Earlier in the week I made some pink ones, you can see those here.

Do you sometimes feel that you need to get back to the basics?  I am finding these quite therapeutic to make and they are coming together quite easily.  I was hoping to get the 4 done today, but I didn't get time.  So will hopefully make the remaining two on the weekend.

I really like the look of these torn edges.

Still using up those scraps, but I happen to know that the two base layers came from the DCWV Far East stack.

The Celebrate sentiment is from the CTMH stamp set that comes with the Art Philosophy cartridge.

The bird stamp on the outside is from the the CTMH stamp set Blessed, (it was a set I won off Bobby at Cricut Couple earlier in the summer) as is the shadow bird on the inside of the card.

I also inked all the edges of all the layers.

The Just because stamp is from a Recollections sentiments stamp set.

Here is the inside of the card - I feel doing the insides really finishes off the cards.

So another two to make and then I will do another gift box or bag to put them in.

I hope you are all having a great Saturday.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Happy crafting.

  9. These are stunning, Karon. I love that ribbon and that you inked your edges. The inside of the card reflects the beauty of the front. I agree that doing the inside really finishes off a good design.
