Colour mess, or could it be art !

Hi everyone.  Something a little different to share with you today.  I decided to have a little play in the craft room yesterday and got a bit messy.

Here is what I ended up with.

I started off with a little wooden plaque and gave it two coats of Gesso - I treated myself to some the other day.  I have already fallen in love with this stuff - it prepares the surface so well.

Then I got messy with some CTMH inks.  I used foam sponges to apply the four colours, (clockwise) Lagoon, Gypsy, Cranberry, Autumn Terracotta.  It went on so well on the prepared surface.

Next, I inked up some stamps with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and just had some fun.  The Dream Believe Succeed stamp is a wooden stamp by InkaDinkaDo.  The rest of the stamps are from a Recollections butterfly stamp set.

And there you have it - a little bit of messy that turns out good.

I am entering this creation in the following challenge.

My inspiration for this creation was to try something different and outside my comfort zone, of sorts :-)  I am hoping to delve into a few new things over the next few months and that is why I love the quote on this creation "Dream, Believe, Succeed".

I really enjoyed this little bit of me time.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Happy crafting.
