Father's Day Blues !

Hi all my bloggie friends.  How are you doing?

I have a Fathers Day card to share with you today.  This was sent to Andy on the weekend, so he should hopefully get it by the end of the week.

I went with blues and a rich red, for this card.

The boat image is from The Graphics Fairy and they are in a set of four.  I took one and printed it off three times, and then cut down the top two, making that triple layered effect.

I popped up the image layer and the sentiment layer.  All the edges of all the layers were inked up. Added three little brads, and there you have it.

My papers are from a 6 x 6 Recollections paper stack, called Bright and Basic.

The sentiment stamp is from a set by My Creative Time called You're My Best Buddy - it's a great set full of different male oriented stamp sentiments.

For the inside, I used the same papers as the front.

And there you have it - this would of course make a great masculine card, just change out the sentiment.

I have told Andy, he is not allowed to go on my blog until after the weekend.  I wanted to enter some challenges with this card this week, which is why I have shared it with you all.

This card has been entered in the following challenges.

  2. Fabulous male card for any occasion. It looks like you matted each layer too. What a great idea to triple layer - easier than triple stamping, I think.

I love thinking of the symbolism too as it journeys on its way to your hubby for Father's Day. I love the inking very much and I'm so happy that you submitted it to Top Tip Tuesday as well!!! :D
