I Love my Hubby :-)

Hi everyone.  I hope you all had a fabulous weekend.  I would like to welcome my new followers and thank you all for stopping by and leaving such fabulous comments.  I will announce my blog candy winner tomorrow, for the My Scrap Chick Blog hop.

For my wonderful bloggie friends, you will know that Andy has been home for the last week.  We have had a wonderful time together, however I have to take him back to the airport this afternoon.  He will be back home at the end of the month for the long weekend.

You may recall that I mentioned he had built me some shelves earlier in the week.  They were actually made from the drawers of my daughter's old cabin bed.  I did the last coat of paint and then added some papers to the back of the shelves.  Here they are.

And here they are all filled up with crafty goodies, and still a little bit of room.  They have really helped me organise things better.

Andy also managed to get the fences finished.  It is looking so much better.

Now, I have a little something to share with you.

On Friday night, Andy and I went out for a wonderful meal on our own, a date night I suppose :-) We had just finished our meal when he surprised me with this!

I quote Andy "I have known you for 20 years and I want to know you for 20 more".  You see, this October we have been married for 18 years. However, we have known each other for 20.   He had the ring specially made for me, he had to wait for the AAA Tanzanite gems to come in and then he had a choice of three.  He then chose the setting and had the ring made in white gold.

Here are the photo's the jeweller's sent him when it was ready.

Now, Andy is not one for surprises, so to do this and plan it all has just blown me away.

I love my Hubby :-)

I just had to share this with you and hope you didn't mind.

Thanks for stopping by.

  7. Andy really is wonderful. I'm so glad you've been able to enjoy his visit. He definitely has good taste! I suppose the ring is lovely too. Ha ha. Congrats on 18 years of marriage. Now you have something shiny and pretty to remind you of his love while he's go plus more organization to craft by. We can't wait to see what productivity ensues.

  9. Oh my! Your Andy sounds like a real gem! I am so jealous I have always wanted a ring with that stone, but just to expensive. I know when we were in the Caribbean I looked thinking I could get a deal, but it didn't happen. LOL! Love the new storage! Have a great Heritage Day!
