At Polka Doodles this week (week 49), we were asked to Make a Gift for Christmas, but you can enter with Anything Goes for Christmas. I decided to have a go at making a 4-drawer easel card, which I have wanted to make for ages. I found a fabulous tutorial by a lady called Kris and heres her blog and link to this tutorial.
I really enjoyed putting this together, the tutorial is very thorough and easy to follow.
I did use my Martha Stewart scoreboard to score the card stock, for the drawers, so I could get really good creases and used my bone folder too!
I used 4 large brads as my little drawer pulls, making a small hole in the centre of each drawer to push the brad through. I inked all the edges of all the layers, drawers and elements with red ink.
All the elements of the card are from the Polka Doodles, A Home for Christmas CD. I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut out all the pre-coloured images.
Look, I filled the little drawers with yummy Swiss chocolates, each little drawer held 9 little chocolates.
For the easel stopper, I used several different sizes of holly laid on top of each other and then placed those up on a pop dot, along with the little rounded square sentiment. One last photo to try and show the little sparkle. I added some Sakura Stardust Gel pen to the stars, the snow on the house and the little lady's dress.
Now, who do I give it too? That is the dilemma. Maybe I will have to make some more :-)
So, as you are all no doubt busy making lots of gifts and things for Christmas, why not go along and enter this weeks challenge.
Thanks for stopping by today.
