Resolutions or goals 2014

Hi everyone.  Hope you are all well.  As we venture into a new year of endless possibilities and crafting opportunities, I wanted to pop in just to say hello and may be find out what you all have planned or would like to achieve this year.

I don't really do resolutions, as they seem to only last a few weeks, well maybe a few days :-)

Goals that I would like to achieve this year, now, that I can come up with!

1.  To tidy away all the Christmas chaos in my craft room and sort out the new things I had for Christmas, before making more mess with new makes and creations.

2.  I would like to post something on my blog every other day, for this year.  Whether it be to share something crafty or just to say hi :-)

3.  I would like to try new things when I see them and not put them by for another day - they just don't seem to get done.

4.  I would like to have a go at doing Tim Holtz 12 tags of 2014.  I don't have a lot of Ranger products, but I'm sure I have things I can use instead.

5.  My final goal or really my biggest wish - to see my hubby, Andy, home for good.  He is still away in Winnipeg and we are reaching the 1 year point!  He has secured a new contract here at home, but has to go through a lot of red tape before everything comes together.  So for now, he is still away and we still only get to see him every few weeks.  Next visit is the 24th January for the weekend :-)

So, there you have it my wonderful friends, nothing too out of the way unachievable.  What do you think?

Let me know what you are up to.

Thanks for stopping by, you will never know how much I appreciate the time you take to leave such wonderful comments.  I truly can call you my friends.

Happy crafting.

  1. Well Karon, I think you have a pretty good chance of achieving those resolutions!! Last year I vowed not to buy new stash...yeah right, I lasted a week or two, however it did make me have a good rummage in my stash and I had some forgotten surprises. It's the same one this year, as well as getting the sewing machine out more and catching up with family and friends more often xx

  3. I agree with #3. Use the new stuff before it gets "lost".

  4. It all sounds good. I bet you do all of these things. I've made a stab at it - I've gone through all my stacks and put away my Christmas papers. (well, it's a start)

  5. Gosh, those are great resolutions. I don't tend to make them either, but this year I feel I'm leaning more towards sending more things in the mail. I know my 87 year old grandmother loves mail and just sending surprise presents to friends sounds like so much fun. :) So I guess I'll be needing your address too! :D
Hugs to you and Happy New Year. Spending 2013 with you was great and I'm so excited to see what you inspire me with in 2014.

I'll be keeping your family in my prayers that your husband's plans work out for you all!

  8. I like #2 and I will be praying that #5 comes true for you. Like Lisa M. said I guess I will be needing your address too. I don't make resolutions typically, but I am a slow crafter and I told my daughter I plan to just "relax" and not put pressure on myself, because I want my crafting to continue to be fun and enjoyable. I am still working on getting out of my comfort zone. I plan to focus more on getting my Zibbet shop going like I want, but this is a process too. There is one other thing I am going to try is to keep my Christmas things close, and the goal is to make one card a week so that I am a little ahead by the time Christmas gets here. Wishing you only the best with all your goals and dreams.

  9. These are good resolutions, Karon. I can identify with #3. I don't know how many times I have seen a technique or craft and said, "Oh, I like that. I'm going to do that one day." Then it just slides out of my mind until I see it again. Then I say, "Oh, I like that. I'm going to do that one day." And on it goes.....

  10. Your goals are great Karon! My short term goal for this weekend is to blitz my craft room. I've been in there two days now and just left it such a mess. It needs clearing before I do anything else. I also want to post more regularly on my blog, though I've not posted there yet this year. Oops! One of my longer term goals is to get the book written that has sat in my mind for a number of years!

  11. I hear you! I really need to get my craft room back in order, too. Can't function in it the way it currently exists after Christmas creations. And I sincerely hope your big wish #5 comes true. Best wishes.

  12. Wonderful goals for the new year. I wish you the very best luck for fulfilling each and every one of them - especially the one about your hubby being home with your family ♥ I'm not very good at resolutions (I'm awesome at making them, just not at keeping them). I agree with you about trying new things - I have so many new techniques and products I would like to try and maybe I can find some time to go for it this year! Happy New Year my sweet friend!

  13. Love your list...and I hope the last one is realised ASAP. Has it been a year since Andy went off to Winnipeg? WOW! Anyway, the chaos of 2013 has spilt into 2014 for me...I won't be making any resolutions until I clear up that mess! Have a great year, my friend!

I am praying Andy comes home for good real soon.

Excellent goals, especially the Tim Holtz 12 tags of 2014, sounds like fun. I came by to say hi and grab your button for my blog. I'll have to figure out how to create one of my own, there're too cute. Wishing you and your family lots of time together, hopefully all the red tape will be cleared soon and Andy will be home for good.
