Andy returns home this evening, and we have him with us for a whole three weeks. We are off on vacation on Monday - yippee! I am going to share our route with you on Monday in a post and will try and post a little bit of our vacation when I get chance :-)
As for today, it is the start of a new challenge at Polkadoodles and this fortnights theme is Red, White and Blue.
I just had to make this shaped card, as we will be flying on Monday - not in a hot air balloon though, thank goodness!
The hot air balloon, flowers and sentiment are from the fabulous Bonbon Belles CD. I used the black and white digital stamp of the balloon and flowers, digitally coloured them using Silhouette Design Studio and then cut them out with my Cameo.
I added a little bit of bling and ribbon to finish off the outside of the card and inked all the edges of the layers with CTMH Cotton Candy.
For the inside, I made a smaller balloon in red and white for somewhere to write a note.
And there you have it, a reasonably quick card after the designing was done :-)
I hope you will take the time and go along and enter the challenge. You have until Noon GMT on Friday 11th July to enter. I am sure a lot of my American friends out there are busy getting ready for their celebrations on the 4th, so there is no excuse :-)
Here is the collection I used.
I am entering this card in the following challenges.
Craftin Desert Diva's Craft it Up & Link it Up #34: Red, White and Blue (closes 6 July)
Paper Pretties - Challenge #PWC316: Red, White and Blue (closes 1 July)
