Simply Saturday #2 - Using Leftovers.

Helllooo!!  Happy Saturday and hope you are having a wonderful weekend.

As promised, I have a card to share with you today, from the leftovers of yesterdays card.

After cutting out the image for yesterdays pyramid, I was left with all the little frames.  So I figured I could do an inverted pyramid card with the remaining pieces.

Used up the rest of the papers too and added some different sentiments.

For the inside using the same layers, and added a little set of golf balls to the message panel.

I didn't add any foam to the layers of the inverted pyramid - thought this would make it easier to post.

Isn't it great when you can use up those leftovers - nothing for the scrap pile from these latest cards :-)

And there you have it.  That's it for today.

If your confused about the leftovers because both cards look the same.  Yesterdays card was a Z fold and the image is a pyramid layer.  Today's card is using the leftover frames from the pyramid, to make an inverted pyramid today Lol.  Are you confused yet.  :-D

Hope you have a great weekend.

Thanks for stopping by.

Happy crafting.

Fabulous Friday - Duuuck!

I said duuuck.  LOL!

Happy Friday everyone.  Hope you have all had a fabulous week.  I am hoping to get back to posting more regularly I think my headaches have gone for the time being :-)

It's week 2 of our Girly but No Pink challenge over at Polkadoodles, and we have some fabulous inspiration from my teamies this week - so why not go check their creations out.  But make sure you check mine out first LOL!

So I have another golfer for you today, but this one is for the female golfer's out there.  Using the wonderful Work and Play 11 Collection.

I decided to use the design sheet pre-coloured image.  I just printed off several times and then used Spellbinders Classic Rectangles Small to cut the pieces to form a pyramid.  I just angled them slightly to be a bit different :-)

All the papers and sentiments are from this great collection.  I inked the edges with Stampin' Up Old Olive.

I love making the Z fold card so quick and easy.

Here you can see the pyramid.

Added a little bit of twine behind the front panel.

I have another card to share with you, from the leftovers of this one, but will post that tomorrow :-)

I wanted to let you know about another fabulous release from Nikky at Polkadoodles. Introducing

Made it Monday #11 - Fooouuurrr!!!

Hellooooo!  Happy Monday everyone.  Hope all my American friends and British friends are having a great holiday Monday.  We had ours last week - just to be different LOL!

I finally managed to last in the craft room, long enough to catch up on some DT work and I even managed to make an extra card this morning, to share with you.

As the weather is finally turning summery and all the golfing greens, well, are green LOL! I thought I would share a great pre-coloured image from the wonderful Work & Play 11 collection.

I printed the design sheet, with the Male Golfer, and then printed off extra so that I could layer him up.  The Male Golfer is also available as a single digi download - as well as the full collection if you don't want to wait for the postie :-)

Isn't he fab!  I love that Nikky combines pieces on the design sheets and they make for a quick reference and create a card.  Of course, I had to layer him up though, so that took a little longer :-)

For the inside, I of course used the same papers as the front and then added a couple of crossed golf clubs.

Here's a quick photo showing the layers in more detail.

Great sentiments and wording in this collections too.  I inked all the edges of all the layers with Stampin' Up Old Olive.

Now I think I am off for a Granny nap LOL!

Simply Saturday - How I have missed you :-)

Hellooo everyone.

Oh how I have missed my blog, bloggie friends and my craft room.

I have been suffering from some really bad head aches this past week or so, and really have not felt at all like crafting.

Today, after the clouds seem to have lifted a little, I decided to come to the craft room from some creative therapy :-)

I hope you have all been well.  I have tried to keep up with your posts, but know I am a little behind with visiting, hope to catch up soon.

I have been having a play with one of the new releases at Polkadoodles. The wonderful addition to the Work and Play Series - this is number 11.

This collection is also available as a full download - so no waiting for the postie.  Click HERE.

I used one of the pre-coloured design sheets and then also printed our extra of the Painter/Decorator which is also available as a single digi download too.

For the inside, I used the same papers and then also added some left over paint pots from the design sheet.

I love layering her up and have inked all the edges of all the layers with CTMH Sorbet.

Adding some fabulous tickets sentiments to the front (perfect) and some Flourish with a Bling Copper pearl dots.

Did you see the lovely new watermark - Nikky made us all a new one :-)

I am entering this card in the following challenges.

Fabulous Friday - Graduation soon!

Hello everyone.  I hope you have all had a wonderful week.

My apologies for lack of posts lately.  I have been doing a little bit of book folding, and am on book number 5, LOL!  I promise to decorate and post  before I start any more and also do a little bit of normal crafting :-)

Today is the start of a new challenge over at Polkadoodles and our theme for this fortnight is Things with Wings.

I couldn't resist using the new release Twiggy and Toots for my card.  With Emily graduating from Elementary school this year, I thought this would be perfect.

This owly is a pre-coloured image that I have layered up and then I also added my own little scroll in his hands :-)

He is also available as a single digi download Graduation Day.

For the inside I added the same papers and a message panel, with a little stamped owl.

I loved doing the layers and here you can see that little scroll.

I inked all the edges of all the layers with Tim Holtz Tea Dye Distress ink.

I love the quote and the wonderful ticket sentiments.  Everything is from this wonderful collection.

Also Nikky has started a new themed set of digital images that are available for immediate download on purchase.

Introducing IckyInk Digital images.  This is Oddella in all her glory.  Do you like Zombies and Goth type images? Then these are so cool.  I know someone who would love these ;-)

Aren't they fabulous!  Why not go check out the download store, Nikky is adding so much stuff over there.

This card is being entered in the following challenges.

A little bit of Book Folding :-)

Hello everyone.  Hope you are all having a wonderful weekend.

I have another book folding to share with you today, and this one I have finished decorating for my daughter, Shannon.

Her bedroom is teal and purple, so we went with that colour theme.

I have to admit that this book folding is quite addictive!  I do have a couple of others completed, but want to decorate them before I show them you :-)

For the flowers on top I used Heartfelt Creations Vintage Floret Die.

I decorated the cover and spine with paper that has been embossed with the Sizzix Carnival embossing folder.

All the butterflies are the Cheery Lynn Designs Small Exotic Butterflies #2.  Looking down onto the book

I curled down the edges of some of the top paes and then the added ribbon to finish off the the front.

What do you think?  This was a book that has been just sitting on my shelf for eons!  I have not cut the book, nor removed any pages in the making of this creation :-)

No sneak peek, but I have been busy :-)

Have a great rest of the day.

Thanks for stopping by.

Happy crafting.

Fabulous Friday - Chick chick chick chicky!

Hello everyone - happy Friday.

Gosh another week has gone by. Spring certainly has settled in here, although I think it will be short lived and we will be straight into Summer.

It's inspiration week over at Polkadoodles this week and week 2 of our Anything but Square challenge.  I decided to have a play with another fabulous pre-coloured image from the wonderful Work & Play 10 - Country Life collection available as CD or immediate download.

Dog Walking, Collecting/Foraging Mushrooms. Deerstalker, Landowner, Clay Pigeon Shooting, Foxy Friends, Egg Collecting/Hens/Chickens, Ranger. Breaktime, Farmer, Shepherd, Gamekeeper, Milk Time

This one is called Egg Collecting and is available as a single digi too :-)

I just love this collection and this image (I know) will make a certain someone smile ;-)

I made a spring fold card and then used Spellbinders large scallop circle, to cut out the yellow plaid and clouds.

All the edges of all the layers have been inked with CTMH Sorbet.

I have loved doing the layering of these wonderful images and deciding what layers would look best.  Love the depth that it gives to the images.

I feel this looks so like Spring/Summer and the papers in this collection are just perfect.  A lovely butterfly and ticket sentiments to finish it off :-)

So, now it's over to you to make Anything but Square and go along and enter our fabulous challenge, you could win £7.50/$10 to spend in the Polkadoodles Digi Store.

Also, just a heads up - there is a new release out, Work & Play 11 - Less Work, More Play
