Howdy Doody everyone!

Hi everyone.  Just popping by to say Hi.

Hi :-)

I hope you are all having a fabulous summer.  I know some of my American friends, your kiddies are back in school.  My daughter's don't go back until the 8th Sept, the day after Labour Day :-) However, they are more than ready to go back now if they could!

I have paid little visits to your blogs today, sorry I wasn't able to comment on every post that I have missed, you have all been busy, whilst I haven't LOL!

Anyway's I wanted to share a little something with you.

This Saturday I have an appointment with a Laser Eye specialist to see if I am a good candidate for eye surgery.  I have worn glasses or contacts for as long as I can remember and have not had true 20/20 vision without correction, probably since I was 5 years old (1972) - you do the math LOL!

Anyways, my husband noticed that my crafting time is getting a little less - and I find that this is a little to do with the fact that my eyesight is quite bad, and starting to find the little things a real pain in the butt :-)  He say's why not try and see if we can have it done, after all he knows that my crafting is what keeps him/me sane :-)

Now I did try and have this procedure done in 2009, but unfortunately because of my prescription - they could not help me.  However, 6 years on and the technology has improved and it looks as if they may be able to help :-)

Anyways, I will let you know how I get on, and when or if my surgery is scheduled.  I am hoping to have it done before the girls go back to school.

Have a great week everyone.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Happy crafting.

  1. Hi Karon, I wish you luck in your assessment. The Wife of a colleague had hers done as part of a trial ( she is a GP) and says it was the best thing ever. Like you she had worn glasses for 40+ years and was suffering further deterioration, she pretty much has perfect vision now but for driving and tv. You go for it!! xx

  9. Good Luck! I had lasik done 13 years ago for near sighted vision. It is wonderful to no longer need glasses to drive, watch movies, swim!! However, after the age of 40 or 45 close-up vision gets bad and I do have to wear "reading glasses" for the computer and to craft. So make sure you ask about if they can now fix that close up vision!
