Quick Update

Hi Peeps

Just a quick update to those that follow my blog.

In my previous post I mentioned that I was going for a consult today to see if I could have laser surgery to correct my vision.

In 2009 when I went for a consult, I was not a candidate.

Today, I am still not a candidate although am borderline.  They told me to give it another few years for technology to move on again and see!

Well I have to admit that feeling disappointed is a very big understatement, to say the least.

Onwards and upwards they say, specs and all.

I hope you are all having a great weekend.

Should have some posts to share with you this week, of some bits I have been working on this past few days.

Thanks for stopping by and leaving your encouraging thoughts - I really appreciate you all so much.

Happy crafting.

  1. Oh, Karon, I'm sorry :( Technology does advance rapidly, so hopefully you will be a candidate in the near future. Hugs my friend :)

  2. I can understand your disappointment! I'm sorry to hear that you can't get a surgical relief. We will hope that your eyesight doesn't slow your creativity. You're an inspiration to us! Happy weekend to you.

  3. I've just read your previous post Karon...... I'm so sorry the surgery did not work out, thinking of you. Hope fully in the near future you will be a candidatešŸ˜€

  4. I'm so sorry to hear you are not a candidate at this time. It is good to hear you are borderline and that in a few years the news might be better. In the meantime hang in there.
    Crafty hugs,

  5. Sorry to hear that you had to suffer a disappointing follow up with your consultant Karon. Fingers crossed for next time xx

  6. Thinking of you Karon.
    Hugs, Julie x

  7. Oh Karon, I'm so sorry. Sending gentle hugs.

  8. Karon, I'm so sorry it didn't work out this time. But ... they did not tell you could never have it done. I believe things happen for a reason and when technology is perfect to handle your needs it will happen. Then your outcome will be the best. Hang in there. Crafters always find a way. lol

  9. I too am disappointed for you. We all hope technology works a little faster in your favor.

  10. I'm so sorry Karon! Hugs my friend!

  11. Well, hang in there, Karon! I'm already (way too young) developing a cataract in my left eye - so I know a little bit about how hard it is to see for crafting. I even have to use a magnifier sometimes. Let's hope technology gets a move on for you!

  12. Oh man! Well that just stinks Karon! I was so hoping you'll get this taken care of... Sorry it's not going to happen for you yet... I'm noticing more & more how hard it is for me... I can only imagine how hard it is for you to see well while crafting.... Hopefully it'll catch up quick!!! :)

  13. I'm very sorry for your disappointment, Dear Heart.

  14. So sorry you weren't a candidate. It is disappointing I'm sure. I guess they have these guidelines and such for a reason. Hope the technology improves quickly!

  15. Bummer. Hope technology improves in the next few years. Take care!

I would like to thank you for stopping by my blog today. All your comments are really appreciated. Happy crafting everyone and have a great day.
