Hello Thursday - Time Out :-)

Hi everyone. I hope you are all well.

Shannon and I had a fabulous time in the UK and was so good catching up with family and friends.

I am stopping in today with a short post to tell you that I am taking a little break from my blog and crafting.

Shannon leaves for college in just 5 weeks and we are trying to get organised with getting all the things she needs to take with her and putting everything together ready for when she leaves.

We are also spending more quality time together and I therefore will not be in the craft room.

She is getting really excited about going now and starting her dream. I am a little apprehensive for her but know she will do us proud.

My craft room will definitely be calling come September, when Shannon has gone, and it will keep be busy whilst I get used to having one less daughter around the house :-)

She has started her own blog Training Tails of a Veterinary Technician.  Do you like the pun? :-)

It will be all about her dealing with moving away from home, her studies and a little bit in between - what a way for me to be able to keep an eye on up with her ;-)

So for now, I will wish that you all have a fabulous summer or what ever season you maybe in the midst of.

Back in September my friends.

Happy crafting.

Fabulous Friday - Floral Splendour :-)

Hello out there.

Shannon and I are still in the UK, we have already been here there and everywhere.  Just leaving Wales this morning and heading to Bicester, Oxfordshire, to surprise my Aunt who turns 60 at the beginning of August.

We head back home on the 20th July.

Hope you have all had a fabulous week.

We have a new challenge starting today over at Polkadoodles and our theme for this fortnight is Summertime.

I haven't used the Dollie Daydream Goes East Collection for a while.  I love the papers and flowers in this collection and of course in Summer there are always lot's of beautiful flowers around.

I layered up all the flowers by adding foam tape and inked all the edges.

For the inside just a flat version of the front, with the added message panel to the centre.

I love this focal sentiment, and all I did was add it to a panel and raised that panel on foam tape.

A little ribbon bow from my stash, to finish it off.

Why not go along an enter the challenge, the them Summertime could be flowers, the beach anything that says to you summer :-)

Thanks for stopping by today.

Happy crafting :-)

Fabulous Friday - Elegant Beauty :-)

Hi everyone.  Happy Friday :-)

Sorry I haven't been around much this last couple of weeks.  It has been quite hectic with end of school and my eldest daughter Shannon Graduating.

So proud of her.  She achieved Honor Society for getting an average of over 80 in all her courses this year.  She picked up a scholarship/bursary from the A Y Jackson Alumni (her school) and also an award for having the highest semester average for Mathematics, she missed the Chemistry award by 1pt :-)  Look at that grin :-)

She will be off to college in the fall, studying to be a Veterinary Technician.

As part of her Grad gift, Shannon and I are currently in the UK enjoying a couple of weeks visiting friends and family, we left this past Wednesday and get back on the 20th July :-) Andy is taking some time off too, at home with Emily, and getting some house stuff done as well as a few days out :-)

Anyways, onto today's post.

We are in inspiration week for our Polkadoodles Add Ribbon or Twine Challenge.  I had to make a card to take to the UK with me and I just had to use the fabulous Rose Budd Papercrafting Collection. I love this collection, it is so elegant.

I used an Mojo Monday sketch from the middle of June, too late to enter the challenge but I thought the sketch was fabulous.

For the inside I made it with the same layers and even ribbon.  As this card will be hand delivered I wasn't worried about the weight :-)

I haven't used the sentiment tickets in a while so had to add these two from the collection.

I inked all the edges of all the layers and also added some dimension to the main image by layering the pieces with foam tape.  And a beautiful butterfly to finish off.

So, now it's your turn to go along and enter the challenge at Polkadoodles, Add Ribbon or Twine :-)

Thanks for stopping by today.

Happy crafting.
