Fabulous Friday - Oh No! Not Christmas.....

Well Hello there everyone.  Yep still Christmas on this blog LOL!

We are in inspiration week for our Polkadoodles Challenge.  Our challenges are now always Anything Goes - so you have no excuses!

I have made a window card (no shaker, didn't have the shaker idea when this one was made LOL!) using the wonderful Twiggy & Toots Festive Fun Collection.

I designed the whole card In Design Studio for the Silhouette and then all I had to was cut it all out and layer it up :-)

Open up the door and say hello to two of the cutest carol singers you are ever likely to meet :-)

I have inked all the edges of all the layers and added some dimension with foam tape and then the wonderful poinsettia to finish off ;-)

I am definitely enjoying making these window cards at the moment. Don't you just love that sentiment LOL!

I am entering this card in the following challenges.

Hello Thursday - Christmassssss !!

Eeek - another Christmas creation for you today.

My mojo has returned - yay.  Mind you when you have the wonderful Polkadoodles products to work with - there's no wonder :-)

Did you know that Polkadoodles has branched out and is now producing Crafting Dies?!

Today I made my card, still using the gorgeous Festive Christmas Collection, but I couldn' help but incorporate one of the beautiful new dies. I have used the Elegant Lamp Light and Gate.  Why not go check all the others that are available and I have to tell you, they are a fabulous price too!

Elegant Lamplight & gate - Craft cutting die

Here's my card for you today.  Using pre-coloured images and the backing paper from this wonderful collection.

For the die cuts I just had to use a technique that I saw recently on Andie's blog - Contagiously Crafty.  I stamped the dies with VersaMark ink and then heat embossed using some Stardust embossing powder.

For the inside I used the backing paper, with the added tree and robins, theres enough space to write a message too :-)

I added some dimension to the snowman and added some stockings to the fence.

Really pleased with how this turned out and those dies are fabulous, cut like butter!

Thanks for stopping by today.

Happy crafting.

'Tis Tuesday - Told you I had my Christmas hat on LOL!

Well hello there.  Wow, twice in three days - told you as I was enjoying being in the craft room.

Can you put up with me being a little more of a regular blogger LOL!

Anyways, yep, I still have my Christmas hat on - will be for a few more posts yet :-)

Todays, card, once again using the Festive Christmas Collection.  Another faux shaker card - I am loving these at the moment.

The wood effect base layer for the front of the card, is from the wonderful Twiggy & Toots Collection.  I was going for a more rustic look for the front of a house.

For the inside, using papers and the pre-coloured fire place (which you can see through the shaker window from the front of the card).

I raised up some of the layers to add some dimension, using foam dots.  The sentiments are also in this great collection.

And the close up - see the ginger bread lady through the windwo :-)

I am entering this card in the following challenges.

So Sunday it is....Got my Christmas hat on :-)

Hello everyone.  Hope you are all having a fabulous weekend.

I seem to finally be getting my crafting mojo back - it seems to have been a long time.

I'm getting my Christmas hat on!  I know, I know, it's a bit early, but us crafters have to get organised.

So, I spent some time in the craft room yesterday, designing this card and today I put it all together.

Using the fabulous new release from Polkadoodles - Festive Christmas Collection.

With this collection you can also buy fabulous stamp sets, they are Stamp Soup Kits - Red Red Robin and O Christmas Tree.  You can pre-order these stamp sets for release by the end of the month.  You can buy the individual stamp sets, or you can buy the whole lot including the CD!

Anyway, lets get on with my card for today.

I have made a faux shaker card, using the wonderful papers and pre-coloured images from this collection.

I added some dimension to the images by decoupaging some pieces.

For the inside, I printed out this beautiful paper once again and added the sentiment from the collection.  You can see this sentiment through the shaker window from the front of the card.

I love this vintage snowman.

A beautiful peace dove sits atop one corner of the shaker window.

First Christmas card of the year.

I am entering this card in the following challenges.

Fabulous Friday - By the Seaside

Happy Friday everyone.  Hope your week is going well.

Here we are into September already!  Last weekend saw us taking our eldest daughter, Shannon, away to college.

It was a fabulous drive, very scenic and took us about 6 hours in total.  We stopped over for a couple of nights and moved everything in for her.  She is now already settled and has been doing her first few days of classes and orientation.

This photo is taken just a 10 minute walk from the college - Lake Temiskaming - fabulous and so peaceful.

Best I get on with the normal post LOL!

Today we are starting a new challenge over at Polkadoodles. All our challenges are now Anything Goes and if you wish you can do the twist - the twist this fortnight is Oh I do like to be beside the Seaside.

I have used a few collections to make this card.  The mermaid, beach huts, beach ball, star fish and all the papers are from the wonderful Bonbon Belles Collection

The little girl swimmer is from the Work and Play 4 Collection.  I used a scene that is on an envelope in the Cherryblossom Lane Collection - just cropped it so that all I had was the sky and sand.  Then also added a little bit of fence from the same collection.

For the inside using the same papers and laving the scene panel blank, for a message.

I inked all the edges of all the layers and then added some dimension with foam tape for the main panel and images.  The sentiment is from the Summertime Collection.

And there you have it - fun in the sun - indeed :-)

Now it's over to you.  Will it be Anything Goes or By the Seaside :-)

I am entering this card in the following challenges.

Fabulous Friday - Spread those wings and fly!

Well hello there out in blog land.  Long time no see!  I'm finally back and able to share some crafty stuff.

We are delivering Shannon, my eldest, to college.  It will be the last time we see her until Christmas :-(  But, she is going away to live her dream :-)

I am going to be in my craft room quite regularly now, as I get used to one of my daughters moving on in life and leaving the nest for a little while.

We are in week 2 of our Polkadoodles challenge. Our challenge themes are now always Anything Goes with an optional twist.  The twist this week is Use Something Beginning with F.

My share for you this week is a 12" by 12" canvas that I made for Shannon for taking away with her to college.

I have used the wonderful collection Lemonade Fizz.  This collection is available as a download, but it is also available as a CD and you can also order the fabulous Stamp and CD combo.

Everything on the canvas is from this collection, except the quote which I found on the internet.  I love all the pastel papers and the gorgeous butterflies, which I couldn't resist layering up.

I inked all the edges of all the layers.  Added a body and beads for the butterfly and then added some layered flowers to add dimension.

Shannon loved this by the way and it brought a few tears :-)

So I know you are all busy crafting so why not go and enter our Anything Goes challenges :-)

I promise to be by soon and catch up with what you have been up to this summer.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Happy crafting.
