Another Wish - but for chocolate :-)

Hi everyone!  I have a second post for you today - yep can you believe it?  I will probably leave it at that and have some more for you tomorrow.

So, another card to share using the wonderful Winnie Sugar Sprinkles.  I have a tutorial for the frame I made - you can find it HERE.

Once again, distressed and inked the edges of all the layers.

For the inside I used up the printed double sided paper to add a message panel and little flower.

Everything you see on this card, is from the collection.

I love the sentiments - and Happy Chocolate Day - that's every day LOL!

I am entering this card in the following challenges.

Crafting When We Can - Challenge #113: Use Digital Stamps (closes 5 Mar)

Thanks so much for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your Sunday.

Happy crafting.

Wishing for Spring!

Hi everyone.  Hope your weekend is going well.

We are having a launch party this weekend over at the Polkadoodles Facebook page.  Why not pop along and see what the design team have for your inspiration.

The new release is so cute and I love the colour palette in this newest collection.

Say hello to Winnie Sugar Sprinkles :-)  You can purchase single digis, smaller bundles or the whole collection.  Why not go check them out, she is adorable!

Anyways, I have a card to share with you.  I have used a pre-coloured topper, papers and embellishments from the collection.

I distressed and inked all the edges.  Layering up the flowers and centre panels with some foam tape.

I decided to go with a Mother's Day card, as it is Mother's Day in the UK next Sunday, so thought I had better get this done to pop in the post. and it will hopefully make it in time :-)

I changed the colour of  the sentiment (from the collection) to white,  so that I could add it to the chalk board panel.

That's it for now, maybe back a little later :-)

I am entering this card in the following challenges.

Simply Saturday - A very quick Silhouette Tracing tutorial

Hi everyone. Popping in quickly today to share a quick Silhouette tutorial with you.

I have had a few of my Polkadoodles teamies ask me how I do my tracing of the design sheets etc, from the Polkadoodles collections so I thought I would make this quick tutorial.

If you click on the photo's they will appear larger on the screen.

1.  Load the design sheet in to the Silhouette Designer program.

2. Go to the Trace Window and select the whole design sheet area.

3.  Uncheck High Pass Filter, and check Low Pass Filter, change the threshold too about 92%  you can play with this threshold till your happy :-)

4.  Once happy with the above , click the Trace Outer Edge Button.  Now occasionally due to colours, it can happen that it just doesn't want to do some of the images.  In the one below you can see the little heart didn't trace very well, but I figured I could cut that little one by hand :-)

5.  Put them back together, at which stage I select them all and then group them all together.  From here I can adjust the scale to fit within the cut/print parameters (don't forget to turn on your registration marks).  And we are ready to go :-)  Send it to your Printer.

6. Load away and cut :-)

7.  All done and now I just have to make something :-)

Hope this has helped some what.

Hugs and thanks for stopping by today.

Happy Crafting.

Fabulous Friday - Sew Sweet

Happy Friday everyone.  These weekends sure are coming around quickly.

It's the start of another challenge over at Polkadoodles and our new theme is a Tic Tac Toe :-)

I have used the third column for my card today, so Sentiment, Lace and Flower.

It's always fun to go back and look at the older collections and everything on my card is from the Studio 12 Picknix 1 Collection.  I have used the All Sewn Up section, which you can also buy as a smaller bundle.

I also used a sketch from Mojo Monday for my card, although I'm too late to enter the challenge using it.  This is the sketch I used, although I did turn it 90°.

All the layers were first distressed then inked.  I also added some foam tape to the flower and the mannequin, to add some dimension to the card.

For the inside I used the same elements as the front, just adding a flower to the message panel.

I added the sentiment, from the collection, to the mannequin.  Everything was cut on my Silhouette Cameo.

Love how this turned out and love the distressed papers in this colleciton.

Over to you, which column, row or diagonal will you choose :-)

I am entering this card in the following challenges.

Fabulous Friday - On the move!

No worries - I'm not going anywhere :-)

Hope you are all having a fabulous week and looking forward to the weekend, just because you can :-)

It's inspiration week this week over at Polkadoodles.  Our theme is Lucky Green - this could be a good luck card, a St Patrick's Day card or simply make green the primary colour in your card creation :-)

I decided to go with a Good Luck card for someone making a move .

I couldn't resist playing with different elements from the Polkadoodles Sticks & Bones collection, and made up this easel card.

I used a scene for the background then added my bit's and pieces.  The house I cut out in a couple of layers and then in the top layer I cut out the window.  This was so I could add the little dino peeking out.

The good luck sentiment I typed up using the Ravie font on my computer, adding it to the bones frame.  The Prehistoric Adventure sentiments are from the collection.

The wheels, for the house, are from one of the toppers in the collection - I just cut out four :-)  Then inked up all my layers, adding some foam tape in places to add dimension.  A little bit of twine round Mom & Dad Dino and they are ready to set off on their move.  Maybe they are migrating and taking their house with them LOL!

Anyways, a bit of fun and just shows that even though this house with wheels isn't in the collection, you can put together bits and pieces from the collection to make what you want :-)

Now, why not pop along and enter the Polkadoodles challenge - you have until Noon, GMT, Friday 26 February.

I am entering this card in the following challenges.

'Tis Tuesday - Wish Spring was here :-)

Hi everyone.  How are things with you.  We are in the midst of a winter storm here and 30cm to 40cm of snow by the end of the day.  Sure we have already had around 15cm.

Here's a couple of photo's. One was taken first thing this morning, the other was taken just now!  It's really chucking it down! Not supposed to end till later tonight too!

Snow day for the girls and craft day for me :-)

Anyways, I decided to have a little time in the craft room and make a spring like card.  I have once again used the older Polkadoodles collection All Around & Everywhere.

I have even used one of the fabulous Polkadoodles cut files.  This leafy background was cut at 6" using my Silhouette Cameo.  The Ivy 2 cutting file can be found HERE.

I inked all the edges of all the layers, including the inside ones.

There are some wonderful sentiment discs in this collection, I decided to use the I'm Sending a Hug, which was layered on some foam tape.

I made up the layered flower  (this is in the collection too) and added a little pearl dot to the centre and up onto some foam too.

I am entering this card in the following challenges.

Paper Play Sketches - Challenge #001 (closes 23 Feb)

Tuesday Throwdown - Challenge #281: Layer it Up (closes 22 Feb)

Crafty Girlz Challenge - February Anything Goes (closes 14 Mar)

Well, that's it from me today.  I have to go clear the path of snow, probably will need doing two or three times by the time the storm is over.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Happy crafting.

Happy Valentines

Happy Valentines Day xx

Hope you are all having a wonderful day.  We are in the midst of a deep freeze this weekend, with windchill temperatures reaching as low as -44c (-47.2f)  brrrrr!  We have been colder than the North Pole LOL!

Anyways, to warm your heart I have the Valentines card that I made for Andy, to share with you today.

I have used an oldie but a goody collection from Polkadoodles called All Around and Everywhere.  It always surprises me when you go back and look at older collections, how much you forget is there!

All the papers are from the collection and I have inked all the layers.

For the inside I used the same papers, and then also added two little Spellbinders Scalloped hearts.

Lori of Chouxchoux Paper Art did a lovely tutorial on how to do the rosette heart and I couldn't resist making one and topping it with another small scallop heart to finish it off and inked the edges too. You can find Lori's tutorial HERE and have a look around her amazing blog too whilst your there!

The sentiment is stamped using the only Valentines stamp I have, but I do love that elegant font.

I am entering this card in the following challenges.
