Simply Saturday - Started off CAS ;-)

Hello everyone.  Hope your weekend is going well so far.

Shannon and I are going out shopping today.  Just for clothes and stuff, but also need to get some jewelry for Prom which is only 3 weeks away!

I have what started out to be a CAS card for you today.

I jut couldn't cope with all that white space LOL!

Using the wonderful Polkadoodles Lemonade Fizz Collection.

I printed the pre-coloured flower onto water colour card, and then cut it out using Spellbinders Labels 8 Die.

Then using my Silhouette Cameo, I cut out extra flowers to create layers, and also some butterflies.

For the inside I used one of the Toppers for my message panel.

All the edges of all the layers, flowers and butterflies have been inked.

For my butterflies, I finished them off with some seed beads and some 26 gauge wire.  I love how they turned out :-)

Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Fabulous Friday - Having a Purple Day

Hello out there in blog land.  I had all the good intentions of posting a little more this week, however family life events came in to play, so didn't get as much done as I had envisioned.

I am still behind with my visiting, so my apologies for that.  I will catch up :-)

Anyways, on with today's post.  It's the start of a new challenge over at Polkadoodles and our theme for this fortnight is Swirls and Flourishes.

I have you used the wonderful Lavender Tea Collection for my creation today.  However, I couldn't decide whether to use a scalloped circle or rectangle on my card.  So I made two :-)

I have inked all the edges of all the layers.  Adding little Flourish with a Bling Pearl dots to the centres of the flowers.

By layering and shaping the flowers, it added a little dimension.

Even the little teeny flower on the sentiment panel has been layered.

Which do prefer, the scalloped circle or the rectangle?

Thats all folks :-)

Simply Saturday - Happy Everything Day :-)

Hi everyone.  Hope you are having a great weekend.

We are off out to see the new Jungle Book movie today, actually find myself looking forward to it :-)

What are you all up to?  Spring has finally sprung (shhhh!) and the birds are chirping in the garden.

I have another card for you today from the wonderful Polkadoodles Winnie Fruit Punch collection.

I have been enjoying using this collection so much and love making the little flowers. The smallest flower in her hair is just 1/4 ".   I have started designing my whole card in the Silhouette Design program.  Then all I have to do, is print it and cut it with my Cameo.

Here is what my screen shot looked like after I finished designing it. (If you click on the photo it will appear bigger.)

Once I have finished designing, I then separate the pieces, print and then cut them all and then reassemble to make my card :-)

Here you go :-)

I have inked all the edges of all my papers, including the flowers.

For the inside message panel, I used the same tag as the front, just re-sized and the wording removed.

I love the pop of teal on this card and the orange of the flowers.

And who doesn't love shoes & bags LOL!

That's it for today.  Off to the cinema soon.

I am entering this card in the following challenges.

Hi everyone.  Hope you have had a wonderful week.

I am way behind in visiting you all, but hope, once again, to catch up over the next few days. Please accept my sincerest apologies.

Anyways, it is inspiration week and week 2 of our latest Polkadoodles Challenge - Floral Frenzy.  So, we would like to see flowers on your creation.

I couldn't resist using the wonderful Winnie Fruit Punch collection for my card today.

I layered up and shaped all the flowers, and then added some Flourish with a Bling pearl dots.  Everything is cut using my Silhouette Cameo :-)

For the inside using the same papers, the frame turned horizontal and adding one of the cutest bees ever!

Peaches and creams for my colour palette - Spring seems to be finally on it's way here in this part of Canada, and I did actually see a bee the other day!

I inked all the edges of all my layers.  Aren't the bees adorable.

So, add flowers to creations and why not go along an enter our latest challenge - Floral Frenzy.

I can't believe I still have these DL cards (from the UK) in my craft room LOL!  These are cards are 8" by 3" and I love them, though don't use them often enough.

I have used the bird house from the embellishments section in the collection. And then layered it up for extra dimension.

For the inside using similar elements as the front.

I couldn't resist adding some teeny flowers, they are just 1/2 inch big :-)

I have inked all the edges of all the layers.

Why not pop along to the Polkadoodles Crafting Facebook group, the design team are still busy showing their creations.

I actually made this card on Saturday, but hey it took me till today to share it with you LOL!

I have used some elements from Design sheet #7, for this card.  Couldn't resist using that framed element and sticking the lovely pre-coloured digi behind it.

For the inside, using the same papers as the front.  Sorry, seemed to have gone a bit lopsy on the banner.

I have inked all the edges of all the layers.  Also adding some foam tape to the frame layer and some of the other embellishments.

Loving the attention to detail of all of Nikky's drawings, these butterflies are sublime :-)

So, Sunday it is :-)

Hi everyone.

Andy and Shannon made it safely back from their road trip to see Shannon's college and attend their Open Day.  Shannon is even more enthused and excited now that she has seen where she will be studying.

Anyways, we are still celebrating the new release launch, over on Polkadoodles Crafting Facebook page, of the wonderful Winnie Fruit Punch collection.

I decided to have a go at another type of Easel card today, this is a Double Twisted Easel card.  I followed this wonderful tutorial by Dina over at Splitcoast Stampers.

For my card I used elements from one of the Design sheets in the collection (#6).

I inked all of the edges of all the layers.

Using foam tape to add some dimension, and to raise the sentiment panel to keep the easels in position.

I even added some bling to the flowers.  And made some teeny tiny flowers, from the collection, to add to the base and in the girls hair :-)

Loving the colour palette for this collection, another stunner!

Why don't you pop along to Facebook and join in the fun.  You can also see lot's more inspiration from the Design team, whilst your there :-)

Simply Saturday - New Release Launch Party at Polkadoodles

Hellloooo :-)  It's another day and another fabulous new release from Nikky at Polkadoodles.

Just as I get my teeth into one collection, she amazes us all with yet another beautiful collection.

This weekend, over on Polkadoodles Crafting Facebook page, we are having a launch party.  Lot's of fun and fabulous inspiration from the Design team.  Saturday, Sunday and Monday, we will all be sharing some of our creations with you.

Say hello to the latest release from Polkadoodles

Oh my goodness!  What a delightfully delectable collection.
Love the wonderful colour palette, definitely Fruit Punch :-)

From me today, I couldn't resist using the beautiful butterfly and floral elements from the collection. Do you think I have a thing for butterflies at the moment?  LOL!

I have made a shaped easel card, using one of the toppers to form my easel card in Silhouette Design studio, and then adding some lovely embellishments.

I ended up with a very monochromatic card, and couldn't resist adding some pearl dot's to the centre of those flowers.

As always, I have inked all the layers including the butterfly and flowers.

I have used some flower centres, once again, for the butterfly antennae and inked them with the same coloured ink as the layers.

Added some foam tape to the floral ring and under the butterfly to add some more dimension.

So, why not pop along to Facebook and join in the fun.  Polkadoodles Crafting and if you haven't joined the group - why not LOL!

Come back tomorrow - yep, I'll be here :-)

Fabulous Friday - The Gift Box

Happy Friday everyone.

And yep I know it's April Fools Day, but I have no fool for you :-)  I hope you don't get too many fools played on you today.

Andy and Shannon leave this morning.  I will be worried until they let me know they have reached their destination.  Off to Northern College for their Open Day, to check it all out.  Ready for going in September and starting her new adventure as a student Veterinary Technician :-)

Anyways, back to today's post.  Throughout this week I have been showing you sets of two cards, to make a total set of six.  Of course, I had to make a gift box for them and HERE is the link to the tutorial on my blog for this box.

Using the same papers as the cards, with a base of ivory coloured card stock.

I have inked all the edges of all the layers, I think it makes them pop and finishes off those edges.

I really love the detail on these butterflies.

I love the colour combo, never used green and purple before.  All six cards and envelopes fit nicely in the box.

There you have it, another finished set of cards.

Now, this weekend we are having a launch party over on Facebook for a new Polkadoodles release. Just as I fall in love with one collection, Nikky pulls out all the stops and I fall for another one.

So why not join us over the weekend.  Polkadoodles Crafting Page on Facebook, the Design team will have lots to share :-)

Thanks for stopping by today, see ya tomorrow ;-)

Happy crafting.
