It really was WOW!
We drove through this archway. Sorry for the glare and sun strainer from the front screen of the car :-)
We stopped off at Bridalveil Fall, what a lovely walk this was.
Unfortunately there is a severe drought in California at the moment, so these falls were reduced to just a trickle of mist over the top!
However, because of the drought Andy was able to climb these rocks, normally covered in water, and found the pool at the base of the fall.
On this walk we also spotted this Steller's Jay, close relative of the Blue Jay.
And also got the girls together to sit for a photo.
Where's the faces? Where's the faces? Here they are, a few to start you off :-)
This one was on the drive in, along the valley floor - that is the Merced River, you can see.
Literally a rock face in the rock face LOL!
You might have to look for this one, it's a sad face :-)
Here comes the WOW!! This is Yosemite Valley. To the left El Capitan, the middle Half Dome and to the right Bridalveil Fall.
The Vernal and Nevada Falls, also known as the Giant Staircase.
Another WOW! From Glacier Point.
A face off of Glacier Point, I saw one and Andy saw another in this one. Can you see them ?
We think this one looks like a lions face!
A couple of easy ones!
That's it for the faces today :-) However, couldn't resist showing you this little guy. Well, not so little! There are signs around saying "Do not feed the Squirrels" I think they aren't listening - he is huge!
Nearly forgot this one at Bridalveil Fall. It is a fallen tree, that has been carved on. But can you see the face :-)
That's it for now.
Today, we have a leisurely start and travel to our next destination and what the girls have been looking forward to the most! We are staying in Placentia, California and we are in this hotel for 4 days yay! And what are the girls looking forward to..... Disney :-)
Tally of miles 285 yesterday. Total now stands at 3524 miles at end of Day 10!
M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E :-)
Thanks for stopping by everyone.
